Im back !

I SURVIVED THE EXTRACTION.  Based on my true personal experience, extraction is not as scary as i felt it will be. The real pain starts when the metal braces start rubbing it against your tender cheek. That the pain i cant tolerate.

So basically, i went into the room and shown the fear & anxiety to my dentist (Dr Kavita) . She reassured me that everything will be okay. That the reason why i choose her to do braces for me. She's really a nice person to begin with. So i proceed to lie down on the chair and she mentioned that she will do the injection of the outer gum before she proceed with the normal cleaning & scaling, so she went ahead with the 4 jabs. But before she started, she actually applied the numbing gel onto the gum which it really HELPS & works. So people who really are terrified of any form of pain. Please go ahead and ask your dentist to apply.
I tried once without the numbing gel . To compare the pain, it will be like

With gel : 1/5 ( like a small ant bite)
Without gel: 3/5

I had a total of 8 injections previously for cleaning & scaling, like i mentioned, im super scare of pain. so i got no choice but to do numbing anesthetic in order to do the deep cleaning . I was so terrified of dental that i avoided going for so many years . May be close to 7 years? hahaha what a joke. So i had a total of 8 jabs to prepare for the extraction. Before that i told Dr kavita that if i faced any pain during the extraction, i will hold my hand up . She promised that she will stop immediately if i do face any sharp pain. So there she went and started extracting. The top upper two teeths were gone in a breeze. The issue were with the lower 2 teeths. The scary part of extraction is the fear , random thoughts and lastly the sound of the roots breaking during extraction. If you can move past this. Everything will be alright. I had additionally 4 more jabs in order to numb the two lower pre molars as i feel a tiny bit of sharp pain when she tried to extract it. So in total i had 12 injections. Can you imagined it? But by then, im already numb enough, i could no longer feel my lips at all. HAHAHHAA. i felt like a swollen fish. That how i could describe myself. In total, it took her like 30mins to finish the whole extraction procedure.

So after everything was done. The teeth were washed and put into a transparent bag for me to bring it back home.

*GROSS* Sorry ! goodbye teeth.

But the teeth were like quite useless to me , i mean the lower two pre molar cause they were quite out of the biting range for me. So i dont feel pity of it but the upper one were quite important. So after the extraction. Rested for like 5 mins before she go on with the bonding of the brackets. Hehehe there wasnt any pain due to the numbing effect. but the pain came on the 3rd day due to the rubbing of the metal in the mouth. Every pain was tolerable.
But what i would recommend is You definately need dental wax to prevent the rubbing.
So far the payment i have made :

$200 ( xray , mould )
$800 (downpayment )
$274 ( extraction of 4teeths & cleaning ) Blue
-----------------------------------------
Total package quoted : 4500$

The rest will be break down into installment.

Wanna know more about my dental, just comment and i will reply what i can :)

Consultation (1st)

Hi everyone,

After so many years of consideration, I have finally pluck up the courage to go for a dental consultation. The route to better smile, since young i dread to go for dental check up. Every time i'm there, tears just flow down automatically . I'm terrified of dentists even though they will always encourage me . The sound of the metal equipment really scares me lots. Some dentist were very gentle, some are really violent. I guess that was what terrified me the most. Especially those equipment that are sharp and will caused extreme pain and sore. Imagine a dentist with white robe holding a sharp metal thingy. The sight of it makes me want to run away.

Picture above are the equipment that makes me tremble every single time when i was lying on the chair. Enough of all these childhood memories, so right now, i finally throw away all the negative thoughts , the extraction and most importantly , the pain that everyone feared. I went for an consultation on the 3/3/2015.
I will describe how the procedure will be. I will try to be as specific as possible so that people like me who lacked of the courage and details can learn more about putting on braces. This shall serve as a guideline for them to understand more about it.

On the day of consultation , the dentist will first analyse your teeth with the hand held mirror you seen on the top to see whether how many teeth you have, and he/she will measure with it with a consistency of you having to open and close your mouth to see how is the dental term called "bite".
Then she/he will explain some minor details to tell you how many teeth you most likely need to extract . Before you want continue the further procedure which is to start on the treatment, you will proceed to take an xray.
And the xray will look like this in the bottom.

Look at how crooked my teeth is. I have real crooked teeth and teeth hiding behind the front teeth. If i dont have to spend those money to regain my smile. I would not want to do so. Basically i need to extract 4 teeth as mentioned by my doc. The agony of losing healthy non impacted teeth really hurts me alot but i have no other choices. My jaw are too small to accommodate all these teeth. In the xray, there are 4 wisdom teeths. all growing in awkward positons. But doctor say, my wisdom tooth are real close to the nerve, basically a few rare one will have this kind of suitation and i'm the lucky "rare"one. Oh gosh. Win Toto also never so ZHUN!. But she say i dont have to do anything for the moment cause the wisdom teeth will not move or grow after 25 years old. So for the moment i dont have to remove it till further notice.
After the xray. will proceed to another step which is moulding of the teeth. I never get to take picture of it cause i was super excited on the day.

They will make a mould of the teeth by using Dental Impression Trays Stainless Steel . During the process, you will not be able to breath through the mouth if you are those having sinus problem like me, i have to breath through my nose which are quite tough for me.

The end product will look like this in the picture below:

After that, dentist will follow up by explaining the procedure of the extractions , those steps after the extraction. I shall continue to talk about it after the extractions.
